DHA’s buildings at Mosaic no longer being considered for newcomer housing

Update from Denver Housing Authority: Since late last year, Denver Housing Authority (DHA) has worked diligently alongside the City and County of Denver to construct a plan to house migrant and refugee families on Park Hill’s Mosaic Community Campus. As of last week, the City has decided to no longer pursue the use of DHA’s Triangolo and Gaebe Halls for newcomer housing amidst a shift in policy away from emergency response to a more programmatic approach (e.g., workforce training).

DHA thanks the Mosaic Community Campus and the neighborhood for their support and the City’s willingness to explore this interim use. Both organizations look forward to future partnership opportunities to meet the housing needs of the Denver community.

DHA is actively working toward formally selecting and negotiating with a development partner for the redevelopment of these properties into long-term affordable housing under the DHA Delivers for Denver (“D3”) program. Further updates will be provided via the Mosaic Community Campus website as they are available.
